. 35 Answers SOURCE: If the stitch problem is on top, it is a bobbin problem, and if it is on the bottom, then it is a problem with the top. Try rethreading your machine completely. Make sure that the tension is set correctly. If rethreading doesn't work, then try adjusting your tension, a little at a time, till you can find something that works. If none of the above works, try changing your needle to a fresh one. And do your sample stitching on a medium weight fabric.
Very sheer fabrics can be problematic without sewing machine problems. Good luck with your machine!

Unfortunately, Singer doesn't provide replacement CDs if you lost the original one. According to the directions for the driver upgrade, you need the CD to install the upgrade. The software packages are available for sale at Amazon and other vendors.
