Astra 2016 Owners Manual

I just picked up my new 2016 Volt today (with both convenience packages) and from the time of delivery, the very first time we turned on the car we received this error 'Parking Assist Blocked - See Owner's Manual'. If I push the park assist button on the console the little orange light doesn't come on and none of the features actually work. I guess the first thing I'll be doing with my new car is going in for warranty work on Monday?

Or is there something I'm missing? Did you purchase those features? If not, I'd understand why the car says they are blocked. Or is there something I'm missing? Call me naive, but a fault this glaring should have been caught in the PDI, if it had proper PDI. You do realize that (rear) parking assist comes on when you shift into reverse, and if you then push the button it turns off?

MS 341, MS 361, MS 361 C. •: Fit the spring (1).: Carefully tap home the pin: Insert the lever in the side (arrow) squarely to obtain dimension 'a' of the hand guard bearing boss. Stihl ms 361 carburetor.

Also, a long shot, but maybe there is some kind of protective film on the sensors and it was not removed? It really does not take much dirt, salt, snow, whatever to trigger this message on my car.

It was a vehicle on the lot that I purchased on Thursday and picked up Saturday morning. So you would think a proper PDI would have caught this since it's kind of a glaring error. It had 77km on it.

The reverse camera works but the park assist message constantly comes on and when you push the P button on the centre console the little orange light no longer comes on (it does once in a blue moon). Also is park assist supposed to beep when you get close to objects like my previous vehicle did? Or is it purely visual? The car has never beeped once for any type of park assist, but the once in a blue moon that it actually shows up on the screen. A few times the screen showing the bars has come up for a few seconds but then the Park Assist Blocked error comes up. I'm going to take it into the dealer tomorrow morning and hope they solve it quickly, as everything else with the vehicle has been an absolute dream compared to my old Range Rover that I traded in. Yes, if the system is working properly you will get audio signals that increase in tempo the nearer you get to the threat. Front signals are higher in frequency than back ones, but only come on if the car is in reverse, or if you hit the overhead switch. I think, but have never been able to confirm, that they also come through the speakers on the appropriate side. You also should have a yellow triangle on the camera display showing where you are going to hit.

It's a good system. So your system is definitely not working. The question is why, and why the dealer didn't correct it before you got the car. Ah yes the system definitely was never working properly from the beginning then as there have never been beeps and that message has come up from the first time we started the car. I thought something was strange as even my old 2008 vehicle had the audible signals. Unfortunately we had to drive about 80km away to purchase this vehicle as they wouldn't send it to the dealership that was near me.

I'm hoping that all dealers just service warranty without an issue? I'll be taking it to a completely different dealer than when I purchased it and picked it up yesterday.
